Jodi Bruhn, Director

Jodi is a published policy researcher and facilitator specializing in governance and indigenous/Crown relations.  With experience in the public, academic, and not-for-profit sectors, she has advised senior government officials, Indigenous governments and organizations, and parliamentarians.   

Before joining Stratéjuste in 2012, Jodi served as a research manager at the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development and as lead analyst to the Standing Senate Committee on Aboriginal Peoples at the Parliament of Canada. From 2007 to 2009, she was senior researcher at the Institute on Governance.  

Born and raised in the Canadian Prairies, Jodi holds a PhD in Government (Notre Dame), an MA in Political Science (University of Calgary) and a BA (Hons) in Political Studies (University of Saskatchewan).  She also studied political philosophy at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, where she specialized in the analysis of totalitarian dictatorships. 

Jodi is fluent in German and competent in French.
 

Bruno Bonneville, Founder

Bruno brings extensive experience in strategic planning, negotiation and facilitation, with over thirty years of experience in senior positions in federal departments and agencies. He has also served on a number of boards, including as chair of the board for the Outaouais Regional Hospital. Fluently bilingual, Bruno provides services in both official languages.       

In 2006, Bruno founded Stratéjuste. From 1997 to 2006, he was executive director of the Law Commission of Canada. While in the federal government, he served as principal negotiator for implementing the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, executive director of the Indian Taxation Advisory Board, and special advisor to the ADM of Lands, Revenues and Trust at the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development.  Bruno also worked for the former Department of Consumer and Corporate Affairs in program evaluation and management systems.  

​In addition to his current work at Stratéjuste, Bruno is a senior associate with the Institute on Governance, where he delivers courses in both official languages.
